Tax Lien Certificates
When a property owner fails to pay taxes on time, the county issues a Tax Lien Certificate — a legal claim on that property's tax debt. By acquiring the certificate, Greenmoorland Holdings settles the debt with the county and, in return, earns interest set by law — backed directly by the property's value as collateral.
We carefully select the markets in which we operate, prioritizing counties with transparent auction processes, investor-favorable legal frameworks, and low concentration of institutional competition. Every opportunity passes through a rigorous due diligence process before any capital decision.

Property Acquisition via Tax Deed
When a property's tax debt remains unresolved beyond the legally established period, it may be offered at public auction as a Tax Deed — allowing direct acquisition of the property itself, not merely the right to collect.
This phase represents the natural evolution of our strategy: from generating income backed by law, to the selective acquisition of real estate with income or appreciation potential. Greenmoorland Holdings is actively preparing for this expansion, applying the same analytical rigor that guides our Tax Lien decisions today.

The name Greenmoorland comes from a simple idea: land —the “moorland”— has, for generations, been the most enduring way to build and preserve wealth. It is not a promise of speed. It is a philosophy of permanence.
Every investment opportunity passes through a structured due diligence process: property analysis, debtor history, prior lien risk, and local market context — before any capital decision is made. We would rather say “no” to a low-rigor opportunity than “yes” to a promise of quick returns.

Tax Deed
The legal process by which a property with unresolved, delinquent taxes is transferred, via public auction, to a new owner — unlike a Tax Lien, here the property itself is acquired, not merely the right to collect.
Redemption Period
A period of time, set by law, during which the original owner may pay the outstanding debt plus interest to reclaim their property, before the process advances toward a Tax Deed.
Due Diligence
The process of researching and analyzing a property and its legal/tax standing before making an investment decision — including a review of prior liens, estimated value, and associated risks.
Real Estate Collateral
The property itself backs the acquired certificate — if the debt is not paid within the legal period, the investor has the right to begin the process toward acquiring the property.
